Why Capoeira at a young age?
First and foremost - getting away from screens! A child goes out to a class and opens up a new world of movement and capability.
1. The class contributes to the child's physical fitness and the sense of physical ability.
2. In the class, the child learns physical and mental control.
3. There are new children in the class, so your child is exposed to additional social situations where they learn to navigate and develop social connections.
4. The more consistently the child attends the class, the stronger their sense of belonging and self-confidence becomes.
5. The child learns to cope with success, failure, and to keep trying again and again. Learning is crucial for children, and it's okay not to succeed. Everything requires practice.

Educating youth according to their path
On the advantages of Capoeira among teens
-
Belongingness:
Capoeira is a social and non-competitive martial art, meaning society and the group hold significant importance.
Capoeira is not done alone - it is done as a team, Therefore the teens need to train together, and take responsibility for the group to push each other forward.
Belongingness to a group is a significant milestone in the journey of the adolescent in the world. -
Respect for others:
Respect is a fundamental value in the world of Capoeira. Within the Capoeira world, everyone is accepted regardless of their religious or gender identity. -
Self-discipline:
The adolescent learns the meaning of persistence, attending classes in the required outfit, and training in their free time. All of these require the adolescent to have a sense of responsibility and self-discipline, which in turn brings significance. -
Tools for dealing with failure:
In the world of Capoeira, there is an important tool for dealing with failure, and that is optimism.
Optimism implies getting up when you fall, persisting when things are difficult, and understanding that sometimes there is a long journey, but those who persist eventually succeed.
Founder
I was first exposed to Capoeira in 2005. I attended an experience class and immediately fell in love. The combination of the fighting movements and energies created during the training connected me and helped me to be part of an educational framework that cares about values and mutual respect.
Immediately upon my release from the military, I began to learn the secrets of the profession. I stuck to the best in the industry and learned the Capoeira training on its core. It was important for me to coach. In community centers, in private settings, in youth villages and youth centers - the main thing is to coach!
I have a burning desire to expose as many teenage boys and girls to Capoeira.
From my perspective Capoeira is life-changing, helps to focus energy In combat training, develops physical abilities and acrobatics skills, provides tools to deal with difficulty, failure, and success.
Through Capoeira you learn to "enjoy" the road and not just the result.
The "Capoeira Lekulam" association was established to promote education through Capoeira with an emphasis on exposing the world of Capoeira to weakened populations and at-risk youth, thus instilling values of mutual respect and contribution to the community.
I believe that Capoeira is for everyone and not just for those who are able to pay for a class.
